Holdup — A darkly humorous film about a liquor store clerk who puts a gun to his own head to hold up his own store, provoking responses in the two customers that blend fear, confusion, and legitimate bewilderment.  The viewer follows the progression and downward spiral of the clerk’s mental state, the customers' confusion, as well as the increasing interactions and dialogue between the characters in the store. The clerk's frustration increases, while the customers' annoyance increase almost to the point of indifference. Blending quick dialogue, dark critique on the mental state of today's society, and a concise, unique character study, the short film provokes the viewer to simultaneously laugh and seriously consider the underlying truths and realities of the narrative.
