常陸宮ご夫妻は6日、「高松宮殿下記念世界文化賞」の受賞者発表会に出席するため、イギリスに向け出発された。常陸宮ご夫妻は、午前11時半ごろ、イギリスに向けて成田空港を出発された。ご夫妻は、11日にロンドンで、芸術・文化の分野で優れた功績を挙げた人たちに贈られる「第23回高松宮殿下記念世界文化賞」の受賞者発表会に出席される。その後、ご夫妻は、バッキンガム宮殿で開かれるエリザベス女王主催のレセプションに臨み、14日に帰国される。
