A short documentary following 8 Ontario teens and their 2 mentors through the processes of writing, arranging, producing and recording a full-length music CD. The Music Project was created by Tiiu Strutt and Garrry Norman to promote songwriting as a tool for personal empowerment and growth. 2011 is its 2nd year in operation. Over the course of 8 months, Tiiu and Garrry conduct a series of workshops about lyric and music composition, singing techniques, basic theory, arrangement, and then take on the roles of co-producers as the teens enter a studio to record their final selection of songs from the year. The Music Project is a fantastic program of creative and life learning that Tiiu and Garrry manage and teach and provide to Camp Trillium teens absolutely free as volunteers.
