Last year www.ifood.tv organized an event, ‘Flavors Beyond Borders’, on the occasion of the diamond jubilee celebrations of India’s and Pakistan’s independence. We also had a ‘Say Something Nice’ goodwill message campaign. The two neighbouring countries have fought 4 wars and signed several agreements since 1947. This slide show attempts to capture the critical events. It is edited to the title track of the Bollywood blockbuster, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (Sometimes Happy, Sometimes Sad), the words pretty accurately depicting the relationship between the two countries.  Here’s wishing A Very Happy 61st Independence Day to both India and Pakistan.
