Anglo Irish Bank bailout could total €34bn
The cost of bailing out Anglo Irish Bank, the lender at the centre of Ireland’s financial crisis, could rise to €34bn. The bailout will take the Irish government debt to over 100 per cent of GDP. Patrick Jenkins, banking editor, says Ireland is unlikely to go down same road as Greece.
