Mara Desypri is a dynamic woman photographer  who started her life in the world of fashion from a very young age.   After starting in the 80’s as a model working with the biggest Greek designers such as Polatof or Eleuteriadis in international magazines such as Vogue or Officiel, Mara Desypri then she collaborated with various Greek photographers during their shoots, and followed the whole of the artistic process. She posed in front of the lens for nearly 10 years, like a star of the cinema from the 30’s, as if she was some sort personality from a Bergman film.  During this period, whilst she was limited to playing the game of being photographed, she harbored a strong desire to give her own point of view in terms of style and finally on photography. In this direction, at the end of the 80’s, she started to work as a stylist for various fashion magazines, observing the gestures of the photographers with whom she was working.  It was at this point that the transformation occurred. Mara Desypri, international model, a muse for Greek designers and photographers, decides to take up position behind the lens. As if, during all those years, she had concentrated more on the technical aspects of the shoot, than the way she was posing, Desypri very rapidly imposed a personal style in her own fashion photographs. She has photographed for more than 10 years shoots for magazines like Madame Figaro, Votre Beauté, Vogue Hellas, always with the same sensibility and in unusual locations, always in vivid colors and always with a strong utilization of accessories.
