UCLA Next (No. 47)
An "in-your-face" investigative report on Nielsen Media, the most powerful and mysterious group in the television industry. Who are these Nielsens? What do they do? And do they really do what they say? Our journalist, whose reporting style is a cross between that of Michael Moore and the "Daily Show’s" Stephen Colbert, faces off with the execs of Nielsen Media, tracks down some sitcom funny men and asks a UCLA television professor, recognized as a national expert on the ratings system, about whether or not there's a better way.
