According to a recent Ernst & Young report, venture capital investment in green tech/clean tech companies for the second quarter 2010 hit $1.5 billion — a 63.8% increase from the same quarter in 2009 and the highest amount since the third quarter of 2008. Brooklyn Motorized Corp. (www.brooklynmotorized.com) has invented an electric motorcycle with a removable battery pack. Fiberight LLC (www.fiberight.com) has the technology, currently used in its plant in Iowa, to convert trash to biomass fuel. Global GSC, Inc. has developed a patented EPA verified portable emissions measurement system to measure carbon and other air pollutants from mobile sources. Skystream Markets Inc. (www.skystreammarkets.net) is developing a trading platform for carbon credits.
