2008年，是鄭欣宜最傷痛的一年，在短短一個月內，痛失母親和外婆兩位親人。過往的二十一年，欣宜一直得到媽媽肥姐的百般寵愛；現在，要一個人去勇敢生活。失去母親，欣宜十分傷心，不過欣宜亦十分堅強。由一個沒有甚麼自信、在母親保護下生活的小女孩，變成一個自立更生的鄭欣宜，在自己的處子劇中，有不錯的發揮，扭轉以往不被觀眾接受的形象，到現在的漸漸受到各界的認同。
