Southland Tales is a 2007 science fiction/drama film, written and directed by Richard Kelly. Set in the near future, the film is a portrait of Los Angeles and a comment on the military-industrial news-tainment complex. The film features an ensemble cast headed by Dwayne Johnson, Seann William Scott and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Southland Tales will be released in theatres on November 9, 2007. It will also be released in the UK on December 7, 2007.
