Infrastructure deficits a drag on growth: Chawla
Infra financing has turned into a top concern for policymakers. Finance secretary Ashok Chawla has cautioned that the country’s GDP growth could get pulled down by as much as 2 per cent, if the financing gap is not met. Under the ongoing 11th Five Year Plan, the country needs $600 billion to feed its infrastructure requirements.
