Nature and culture: "Magic Places" at the Gasometer in Oberhausen
For more information visit: Nature and culture – Culture and industrial change. These are the two connections that the exhibition "Magic Places" at the Gasometer Oberhausen represents. The curators Wolfgang Volz and Peter Pachnike staged spherical music, strong images and sculptures. The two previous exhibitions at the Gasometer attracted more than a million visitors. Natural scientific findings and sensual aesthetics is what the creators are seeking to combine in their third exhibition. With the symbiosis of the 230 exhibits, the curators managed to create an almost mystic atmosphere that visitors may experience since April 8, 2011.
