Sheriff's Deputies have found more than 50 horses that were reported taken from a ranch north of Lawrence. Jeff Herrig, Jefferson County Sheriff, said the horses were found at the Wheeler Dairy in southeast Jefferson County. Tammy Blase of Topeka, who leases Mount Bethel Farms and boards horses for private clients, reported that 50 to 59 horses were missing yesterday.
