Kim Jong Il’s Youngest Son Named Four-Star General
North Korean leader Kim Jong Il’s youngest son and sister have been raised to the rank of four-star general, in what is seen as a bid to extend the only communist family dynasty to a third generation. The appointments were announced Tuesday as members of the ruling Workers' Party convened for their first full party convention in 30 years. The party also re-elected the elder Kim as party general secretary. VOA's Robert Raffaele has more.
