Investigation of Illegal Phone Hacking
The British House of Commons' Home Affairs Committee held a hearing on the illegal phone hacking scandal involving Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.  Order of Witnesses: • 6:30a - Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner John Yates. (in 2009, following requests that the original phone hacking investigation completed in '07 be restarted he advised that there was insufficient evidence to justify this. He has now apologised). • 7a - Peter Clarke, former Assistant Commissioner, Specialist Operations • 7:20a - Andy Hayman, Asst Com, Spec Ops at the time of the first investigation • 7:40a - Sue Akers, Deputy Assistant Com who is leading the current investigation, 'Operation Weeting'.'
