Iran releases first computer game
The first Iranian computer game "The Special Operation" is released in Tehran. Iranian students gather in Tehran for the launch of the country's first ever digital computer game. The game, called "The Special Operation" is based on the story of four Iranian diplomats who were kidnapped by the Israeli forces in July 1982, in Lebanon; The aim of the game is to secure the release of the Iranians from the prison. The game's release is timed with the 25th anniversary of the abduction of the Iranian diplomats.
