Northern Ireland has always been a hotbed of musical activity and has produced a lot of high-calibre artists from Van Morrison to Phil Coulter and The Undertones to Snow Patrol. Belfast is also one of the great musical cities with artists admired globally, which is why the city played host to Belfast Music Week from the 12th to 19th September.   Belfast is one of the greatest musical cities and has given birth to many artists who are now internationally admired. To celebrate this Belfast hosts a music festival in September that welcomes over 100 live music events showcasing new bands, songwriters and DJs.
