Four Daughters - Available Now on DVD
A musician is blessed with four musical prodigies, all girls, and cursed when a troubled young composer enters the lives of his Four Daughters. Adam Lemp (Claude Rains — “Casablanca,” “Now Voyager,” “Lawrence of Arabia”) already has enough trouble when all four young women — Ann, Thea, Kay and Emma (real-life sisters Priscilla Lane, Lola Lane, Rosemary Lane and Gale Page) — fall for Felix Deitz (Jeffrey Lynn). But when struggling composer Mickey Borden (John Garfield — Humoresque) moves into the house as a boarder, he draws the attentions of Ann into a relationship that can only lead to heartbreak. The film is the first in a trilogy of “Four” movies that includes Four Wives and Four Mothers. Based on the novel Sister Act by Fannie Hurst.
