FDA Approves Lupus Drug Benlysta
The first new drug to treat lupus in more than 50 years was approved by the Food and Drug Administration late yesterday. The drug, Benlysta, was developed by Human Genome Sciences (HGSI), which has partnered with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to commercialize the treatment.
