True Persuaders meets David Ondrick - Sharp Razor
Recorded live at NYC’s Leopard Lounge in February 2008, this video has me playing guitar on a cover of the popular Lee Perry reggae rhythm "Sharp Razor." Backing up Jamaica's legendary True Persuaders and David Ondrick (one of reggae music's most dynamic new saxophonists), this performance was extra special as it also featured Cornell Marshall on the drums, who played in Bob Marley's band for a period, among others. Although the video only shows roughly three members of the band, listen halfway through as I step out for a guitar solo that showcases my love for surf and Latin music. Between Cornell Marshall and the True Persuaders, the Leopard Lounge was truly blessed to have some of roots reggae's most important figures playing on the same stage that night.
