Subtext Machine
A robotic finger re-enacts the typing of the first love letter from Franz Kafka to Felice Bauer, originally typed in 1921. In the letter, Kafka makes reference to typing on the new machine in his office, and he alludes to the effect it has on his train of thought. He mentions that if he lacked the energy to write, the typing machine would allow his fingers to write for him.
