Most Sushi places offer other, hot items on their menu, like Kobe Beef and Chicken Teriakki, but Brentwood's Sushi Sasabune is for the truly hardcore... they only serve Sushi and Sashimi., and offer no hot dishes on their menu. But don't fear the raw fish, because the restaurant's chef/ owner Nobi Kashuhara trained with Japanese Sushi masters to bring you some of the freshest food the city has to offer. Sit at the Sushi bar and watch the skilled Sushi chefs work as they prepare the restaurant's mouthwatering daily specials, many of which are flown in special from Japan. Daring diners should try the Japan Omakase, or Chef's menu, which features rare delicacies like abalone, monkfish liver, and sweet shrimp. Sushi Sasabune is a no frills experience that lacks the hip atmospherics of the Sushi joints that famous people flock to, but if you are looking for some truly authentic food, this is the place that true Sushi nerds will love.
