Black Kettle Nat’l Grasslands
Near Cheyenne, The Black Kettle National Grasslands is a 30,000 acre area of natural grasslands and is home to deer, turkey, and quail hunting. Call for an information packet, which includes a map of the area with access entries. The museum relates the story of the Southern Cheyenne, the Battle of the Washita, and early settlement of the area. The museum is open Tue-Sat 9-5, Sun 1-5. Originally aired February 17, 2007.
