Forest Dickey- Desk
California-based artist Forest Dickey creates furniture out of architectural fragments from old buildings. His Desk was created from fragments of a Wisconsin barn. In order to not produce a large carbon footprint, the artist traveled to Madison, Wisconsin to build his piece; instead of shipping the materials to California and the finished piece back to Wisconsin. University of Wisconsin Madison student woodworkers participated in the project, helping the artist create this environmentally friendly piece.
