Fingerprints checked on entry to UK
A new biometric visa trial is underway at London's Gatwick Airport. Compulsory fingerprinting is already part of the UK visa application process in more than 100 countries, but this is the first time fingerprints have been checked at the point of entry. Motorola, which is managing the pilot scheme, is also setting up similar systems in Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal and Austria. Matt Cowan reports for Reuters.
