A Whale of a Tale: Japan vs. Environmentalists
(January 24, 2008) This year’s Japanese whaling fleet plans to kill hundreds of whales in the name of "research." But, not if environmental groups like Greenpeace and The Sea Shepherd have anything to say about it. So far they have tried several tactics to thwart the harvest they believe is for commercial whaling, a practice that was outlawed in 1986 by the International Whaling Commission.
