Bericht vom 02.07.2009: Die Justizvollzugsanstalten reagieren auf den Trend. In Detmold etwa gibt es seit 2008 eine spezielle Abteilung für Lebensältere. 24 Haftplätze für Straftäter, die älter als 60 Jahre sind, sollen einen altersgerechten Strafvollzug bieten - getrennt von den jüngeren Insassen, jedoch nicht isoliert.
