Summer’s in, surf's up, and the party's in full swing for rich kid Gardner "Ding" Pruitt III (James Darren), who's got his eye on bikini-clad Sandy (Pamela Tiffin) — until Ding's granddad, "Nifty" Cronin (Robert Middleton), schemes to close the local hangout. With Sandy's guardians and college officials siding up with Cronin, the partiers resort to a little blackmail to turn the tide in their favor.
