The Arab World at the Venice Biennale
Never has the Venice Biennale hosted such an exhibition of Arab art as at this year’s gathering. Many of the artisits are self-taught. Their work deals with daily life in their home countries and is both experimental and multi-facetted. In presenting the exhibition, the Biennale is offering a subtle glimpse into cultures that are often closed to outsiders.
