Pan Am 747-121 Clipper Westwind
Clipper Westwind N753PA (B747-121)was delivered to Pan Am April 1970 and flew with that airline until November 1988. It was sold to Evergreen International (N473EV) and continued as a freighter until at least the mid-late 1990s. In 1993 it suffered a serious incident when due to strong winds over Anchorage, Alaska, the #2 engine was lost, seriously damaging the wing. It landed safely and was repaired. This aircraft was scrapped in 2001 at Marana, Arizona. Dedicated to the three men who changed aviation - Bill Allen - President of Boeing, Juan Trippe - President of Pan Am (who both bet their companies on the B747) and Joe Sutter - Chief 747 Engineer.
