潘基文到訪巴基斯坦呼籲國際社會盡快支援
聯合國秘書長潘基文到訪巴基斯坦。 他計劃稍後前往受水災影響地區探訪，並且會與總統扎爾達里及總理吉拉尼會談。 潘基文抵達時呼籲國際社會全力支持巴基斯坦，承諾動員所有物資支援受影響災民。 巴基斯坦遭受80年來最嚴重水災侵襲，由西北部蔓延至南部，已造成1600多人死亡，1400萬人受災。 聯合國較早前表示，當地正受疫症及糧食短缺威脅。
