Nat’l Cowboy Museum Scenic Tour, OKC
Formerly known as the National Cowboy Hall of Fame, this museum has tripled in size since 1995. It features art from Prix de West Award winners, the finest contemporary artists in the nation, as well as significant works by master artists Charles Russell, Frederic Remington, and Albert Bierstadt, among others. Outside, the stunning landscape boasts both botanical and natural gardens. The Children’s Cowboy Corral is an interactive discovery area filled with western activities for the youngest families. Boys and girls will enjoy dressing up and putting on their first pair of chaps and spurs for both a photograph and a stationary ride on an imaginary horse. Listen to our cowboy sing and talk about the trail. Build a campfire at the chuck wagon and fix some "grub" for your parents at a real wagon. Books, puzzles, and diorama of working ranches are all designed to teach the pardners about the real west.
