Revue Politique We recap today’s Question Period.Pierre Donais welcomes MPs from the four parties in the House of Commons for a discussion on topics highlighted in Parliament today.Campaign 2000 releases its 2010 Report Card on child and family poverty. Twenty-one years ago, the House of Commons unanimously passed a resolution to end child poverty in Canada by the year 2000. Moreover, it has been one year since the entire House voted in favour of an immediate plan to end poverty for all Canadians. The 2010 report, entitled "Reduced Poverty = Better Health for All" highlights poverty as a social determinant of health, presents the latest statistics on child and family poverty, and makes recommendations for all political parties. Monique Bégin, a former health minister and senior World Health Organization official, discusses the report.La Presse reporter Hugo de Grandpré analyzes issues raised in the House of Commons.
