As every corner of America sees an influx of Latino immigrants, day laborers are becoming a fact of life in many American cities. Portland, Oregon, has taken a controversial step to incorporate undocumented workers into the economy, by building a day labor center, where workers can go to find jobs, causing an uproar in some segments of the economy. In this pod, VC2 producers Wide Awake Productions follow several day laborers, to uncover what they're lives are really like, while talking to opponents of the center.
