During our last snow "storm" i so wanted to go for a fly to get some snow shots, but having no runway and freezing conditions stopped me.  But overnight, we have had some new snow (after all the previous had cleared) and i thought, this is my chance. I went back to field where i flew from the frozen pond in the hope that it is frozen enough to use as a runway. The snow was +-2" deep and i was hoping i would be able to takeoff as it was not to deep. It seems i was wrong. I think it was in fact the tail wheel that created too much drag as i never got enough speed and the tail never lifted. So here is the funny part :) :) So i was going to fly this plane and get some video, no matter what ! :) So i thought, what about a hand launch.... huh.... Now i know the PT-C can fly really slowly, so if i can run fast enough it should work.. LOL As it turns out, i can still run fast enough, the plane took off easily and i was off.. Now, the video isnt my best as I was full of adrenaline, out of breath and worrying about where to land.. LOL so its not as smooth as it could have been, but yet, there are some nice shots showing the snow cover.. Hope you enjoy this unusual clip, i included all the silly bits too as it was very funny.
