Green run: Lighting up villages through solar power
The first of its kind 24-hour telethon, the Greenathon is NDTV’s big effort for the environment. Through it the biggest names in entertainment, sports and business will join NDTV for the green cause. The Greenathon will be raising funds for the 'Light A Billion Lives' campaign that aims to use solar power for villages across India. It will thereby cut down on the use of kerosene and firewood. Here's one village that's waiting for the project to light up their lives.
