America’s Homeless Military Veterans
Thousands of American soldiers have returned from dangerous tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan only to end up homeless in the United States. Organizations that help veterans say many them are ending up on the streets or in shelters just months after leaving the military. VOA New York Correspondent Peter Fedynsky has the story of one such veteran.
