The premier horse race in the United States takes place this Saturday in the southern U.S. state of Kentucky.  The Kentucky Derby will feature a woman jockey this year.  She’s only the sixth woman to ride in the annual race since it began in 1875.  Other women jockeys are hoping they will make it to the Kentucky Derby one day.  VOA’s Deborah Block went to the Pimlico racetrack in Baltimore, where women jockeys are showing they can win races in a male dominated sport.
