The Zoo
Title Sequence project at VFS, where we had to come up with a story/concept and create a title sequence for it. My concept is a TV series in the vein of Twilight Zone - but instead of focusing on the paranormal, each episode explores the dark, animalistic side of human nature. When you put an objective lens on, we are really no more than animals - hence the title, The Zoo. The Kafka connection comes from the fact that he often put a twist on otherwise mundane activities, which is the essence of the concept. I went for a hand-illustrated approach that’s heavily inspired by Edward Gorey's style. Ink is one of my favourite media to work with and I'm quite pleased with the final look.
