英國警方通緝的槍擊案疑犯莫特，與警方對峙6小時後，自殺身亡。警方表示，警員並無開槍，亦無其他人受傷。 警方經過一星期搜捕後，在東北部小鎮羅斯伯里發現莫特，大批警員包圍現場，並派出談判專家，試圖游說對方投降。 37歲的莫特，曾經因傷人罪坐監，本月 1日刑滿出獄後，涉嫌槍殺情敵，槍傷前女友和1名警員，並揚言要繼續襲擊警員。
