Man on the Moon (Short Film)
"At the precipice of a New Era; Jack Larkin, CEO of one of New York’s largest brokerage firms – soon discovers what he stands to loose, when the passing of the only woman he ever loved leads him to a kindred revelation. Fueled by years of suppressed guilt, Jack soon realizes that the blind ambition that made him is the one thing keeping him from what he truly needs: A Family." This piece was done as my capstone project for the University of Hawaii: Leeward Community College Television Production Program in which each student (about 20 of us) was required to produce a short with a TRT of exactly 10 minutes. However I ran over time so I had to cut down the piece to 10 minutes-heavily loosing the story in my opinion. What is here now is the directors cut. Also the beginning and end music that sounds way better than what's in the middle is "Nanno" by Kerry Muzzy. Forgot to put that in the credits. The production was very much under the radar and very guerilla style with a crew no larger than 3 at a time. We were able to knock it out in about 2 weeks. BTW: Thanks to the cast & crew that helped me out, appreciate all the dedication! Equipment: Canon 5D Mark II Canon 50mm 1.4 Canon 85mm 1.8 Targus Tripod (Surprisingly smooth for a "Photo Tripod") LED Lenser X21 Flashlight (One of THE MOST powerful flashlights you will every see) 5-in-1 Reflector 2-Lowboys RODE Shotgun Microphone with Zepplin ZOOM H4N (Audio Recorder) Final Cut Pro 7 Color Soundtrack Pro DVD Studio Pro
