Blind Pilot - "Go On and Say It"
Portland based, flannel wearing indie popsters Blind Pilot are college friends who yes, use a Wordpress blog as their band website, write postcards to their fans that they post on said blog, and just last year went on a solely bike powered West Coast tour. Their mission: to bring their cheerful, simple melodies to none-hipster populated small towns, and impressed their unknowing audience so much that they sold out their first EP, and finally returned to their hometown to complete their first full length, 3 Rounds And A Sound. Now, as their album continue to impress the more culturally aware populations of the West Coast and beyond, Blind Pilot continue to embark on sprinkling their carefree indiepop to audiences everywhere. Their new music video for "Go On and Say It," featuring the band playing their signature breezy indie folk, all rhythmic acoustic riffs backed by strings and lyrics effortlessly sweet, in empty houses against rain or sunsets, on the rafts of bridges above glittering rivers, on abandoned piers, lonesome, desolate places filled with the warmth of their song embodies the band’s spirit and style. Watch the video featured below and catch Blind Pilot on their current tour with The Decemberists, their headlining summer dates or in support of Andrew Bird with The Decemberists or Gomez. They'll also be bringing their sunshine indie folk pop to a slew of music festivals like Lollapolloza and Outside Lands Music Festival, so keep your eyes peeled for the Portland sweethearts on their tour (dates listed below) and enjoy their presence in their video for "Go On and Say It." - Laura Yan
