South Africa struggles to reduce fossil fuel dependency
A few months before it hosts a UN summit on global warming, South Africa is trying to show it’s serious about renewable energy. As the fourteenth largest emitter of greenhouse gases, despite being only the twenty-seventh largest economy, the country has launched a project to install a million solar panels on the roofs of houses.
