The Wall Street Journal reports that Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.A) is part of a bidding group in exclusive talks to buy Citigroup's (NYSE:C) consumer lending business formerly known as CitiFinancial. Reuters reports that AirAsia will buy an additional 100 Airbus (PINK:EADSY) A320neo jets, raising its record order to 300 planes, in a deal that would make the Malaysian low-cost airline one of the world's largest. Bloomberg reports that U.S. and Chinese officials will meet next week to discuss giving American securities regulators the right to investigate companies within China. Finally, CNet reports that Verizon (NYSE:VZ) confirmed the replacement of its unlimited data plan with tiered data options on July 7.
