US Unemployment Stays at 9.6 Percent
The latest US unemployment report shows the economy shed 95,000 jobs in September.  Although the private sector added 64,000 jobs last month, the gains were not enough to offset the loss of more than 150,000 jobs due to government layoffs.  Despite the net loss, the national unemployment rate remained unchanged at 9.6 percent, as some Americans gave up looking for work.  Mil Arcega has more.
