Es war wie ein "Tsunami im Inland". So beschreiben lokale Medien die Sturzflut, die am Montag durch die australische Stadt Toowoomba raste. Die Wucht des Wassers zerschmetterte Autos, Brücken und Holzhäuser. Die Wasserwand war nach Angaben von Augenzeugen bis zu zwei Meter hoch.
