In this segment Margaret Aranyosi explains the role that newbies (new users) play in creating the code.  She says that when people ask for feature changes or imporvements to the code, that act in itself is helpful. She says that people in the free open source software community will respond to requests for changes. Maybe the changes are small, but even small contributions really add up, she says.
