London City is the historic and economic heart of Greater London. It is often referred to simply as The City, Square Mile (square mile, according to their surface area). Although the city for centuries synonymous with London, was the city’s name is now used for the entire built-up area. The COL is a ceremonial county.   The COL is the area the smallest and least populated district of London. The population comprises 84.6% whites, 6.8% Chinese, 2.6% Black and 2.0% Japanese.
