I recently watched Agnès Varda’s film The Beaches of Agnès, which was somewhat of a documentary on her life. The film began with her setting up mirrors on the beach. There was something so beautiful about this. The images have been haunting me ever since. I think for me, the mirrors are not just reflections on our life, but on the important questions that have come up during this time. Often these questions are either not asked for fear of what the answer might be or we are never given the opportunity to ask it. A person’s questions are the most revealing things about them.
