秋場所の番付発表 賭博関与の力士ら降格
９月１２日に初日を迎える大相撲秋場所の番付が８月３０日に発表され、野球賭博に関与して謹慎処分となり、７月の名古屋場所を休場した豪栄道関ら幕内６人が十両に転落した。雅山関は７７年の大受以来、元大関としては３３年ぶりの十両転落となる。
